Zulu sangomas dancing in ceremony

This video was taken at my red ceremony as a student sangoma in the Zulu tradition. Notice the low entrance to the ancestor hut. The ceremony started on a Friday evening and ended the next day at around 4pm. The dancing lasts for hours and hours and is done to reach trance. I had very limited permission to photograph and it was my ceremony, so I could not take too much time to rest, but photographing dancers go into trance would have been a no-no. On the right, right opposite the entrance you will see the altar where the muti pot waits for me to drink from at 4am and then thrown up to cleanse my body and my energy field.
